Initiators

business@school was launched in 1998 by the international consulting firm The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

When BCG launched the project business@school at the end of the 90s, the first PISA study had not yet taken place. But even then, BCG's top executives were committed to getting better instruction about business into schools.

The project got its start in 1998 at two pilot schools in Daun (in the Eifel) and Hockenheim; now, more than 70 schools in Europe and Asia participate in business@school. The entire project year is organized and coordinated by BCG's business@school team. As the project office, it is the most important contact point for all involved—students, teachers, and company representatives.
